The Electrical Industry Board of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, administers the collective bargaining agreement between the Nassau and Suffolk Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc., (N.E.C.A.), and all independent and unaffiliated contractors signatory to a similar agreement and Local Union No. 25, I.B.E.W.

The Board is compromised of seven members consisting of three persons representing the Union, three persons representing the Employers, and a Chairman. The Electrical Industry Board employs an Executive Director, and other help, professional or otherwise, to carry on the functions of the Board.

At the request of the Union or Employer, all questions or disputes which are not adjusted between the Union and the Employer shall be referred to the Electrical Industry Board for final and binding decision. Should the Electrical Industry Board fail to agree or to adjust any matter, such shall then be referred to the Council on Industrial Relations for the Electrical Industry of the United States and Canada. The decision of the Council shall be final and binding on both parties.

The Electrical Industry Board has the power to formulate, and, when necessary to modify or amend rules and regulations which will promote harmony between Employers and Employees in the Industry, and will study and institute a program which will make it possible for the Industry to be of greater assistance to those purchasing our services, the potential purchasers, and the general public. All rules and regulations, modifications or amendments thereto shall be sent in printed form to all parties to the Agreement and to all individual Employers employing electricians under the terms of the Agreement. All such rules and regulations shall be consistent with and not in conflict with, the provisions of the Agreement.  The Electrical Industry Board shall not have the right, as arbitrators or otherwise, to alter, modify, or amend the Agreement or any provision thereof without the prior approval thereto in each instance by the Union and the Chapter, which shall be reduced to writing.

The Electrical Industry Board administers the Apprenticeship and Training Fund, the Health and Benefit Fund, the Vacation / Holiday Fund, the Annuity Fund, the 401 (K) Fund and the Pension Fund as set forth in the Agreement, not inconsistent with the terms of the Trust Agreement of the several Funds.
